The DR2225 is a genuine Brother Drum unit.

 

An Imaging Drum transfers the digitally produced image created by the laser printer to the paper media.  Electrostatically charged toner particles are attracted to the paper to form the newly created image.  The image drum is an integral part of a laser printer. The imaging drum unit is changed at regular intervals over the life of a laser printer.
