Reset Drum for Brother MFC-L2710DW and MFC-L2713DW

Reset Drum for Brother MFC-L2710DW and MFC-L2713DW

Posted on 19/08/2021

Brother MFC-L2710DW and MFC-L2713DW black and white laser printers are designed with the toner and imaging drum as separate parts. The idea is that the drum unit does not have to be replaced as much as the toner.

Other manufacturers design concepts are different and they come as one piece with the toner cartridge.

After the new DR-2425 drum is inserted in the Brother printer, the counter needs to be reset. It is an easy process in five steps. Follow the steps as shown below and this will stop the drum reminder and reset the drum counter.

Imaging drums show all particles that stick to the cylinder, so ensure that you change the drum regularly, about every four toner cartridges. Imaging Drums also have filters and wipers that collect the excess toner. By replacing the drum you are actually cleaning up the printers workspace as well.

The final result will be a fresh clean image of print.
